It has recently transpired that the Council leadership has given away nomination rights (where St Albans Council allocate tenants) to social housing that is due to be built in the District close to Hemel Hempstead.
This means that local families in need will have to wait longer for alternative provision to be built. Inevitably the additional social housing will consume yet more of the precious greenbelt.
