23 new affordable homes are being built at two vacant sites in Sandridge where garage blocks were demolished several years ago.
The £5.6m affordable housing scheme is being delivered by the Conservative-led St Albans City and District Council.
Eight new homes will be built at St Leonards Crescent and 15 at Langley Grove. Together, the developments will provide eight one-bed flats, eight two-bed flats, three two-bed houses and four three-bed houses.
The new homes are due to be completed by December 2018. They will form part of the Council’s housing stock and will be rented out to people in housing need who are on the Housing Register.
